Course Title: Caregiving (ELDERLY) NC II​

Nominal Duration: 561 Hours

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide the learner with knowledge, skills and attitude, applicable in performing work activities involved in developing the ability to recognize aging process, participating in the implementation and monitoring of client’s care plan, performing caring skills, performing specialty care procedures, and assisting in administering medication.

Trainee Entry Requirements

Completed at least 10 years basic education or Holder of Alternative Learning Systems (ALS) certificate of completion with grade 10 equivalent; must have a good moral character, with no administrative/criminal case; mentally and physically fit; can communicate both in oral and written; can perform basic mathematical computation.

Course Title: Caregiving (CLIENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS) NC II

Nominal Duration: 813 Hours

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide the learner with knowledge, skills and
attitude, applicable in performing work activities involve in providing care and support to clients with special needs – children with special needs and adults and elderly with special needs. This includes classroom learning activities and practical work in actual work site or simulation area.

Trainee Entry Requirements

Completed at least 10 years basic education or Holder of Alternative Learning Systems (ALS) certificate of completion with grade 10 equivalent; must have a good moral character, with no administrative/criminal case; mentally and physically fit; can communicate both in oral and written; can perform basic mathematical computation.

Course Title: Japanese Language and Culture​

Nominal Duration: 180 Hours

Course Description:

This course is designed to help trainees learn the basics of Japanese vocabulary to help them converse in different contexts. It includes lessons that allow them to read, speak and construct sentences in Nippongo using basic grammatical principles. This course also provides opportunity for trainees to use controlled vocabulary conversation in connection with most important words, concepts, and cultural considerations within their target workplace.
